What is Orcas
Orcas is a platform that connects students from KG to Grade 12 across all school systems with tutors in their area or online.
As an Orcas independent tutor partner, you can create a tutor profile on the app to help parents and learners find you. During your onboarding session, your previous work experience and educational background will be assessed to determine your level and hourly rate.
How it works
Step 1: Apply on our website
Once you’ve downloaded the application, you will have access to over 3500 tutor profiles.
1. Choose the subject.
2. Select your location (or online).
Step 2: Watch the onboarding videos
After you’ve selected a tutor profile, you’ll be able to start chatting with them for free. The tutor will receive your message instantly. If they are available, they will accept your request and coordinate your session details with you. If the tutor is not available, they will decline your request.
Step 3: Take a quiz
Once the tutor has sent you an agreement, you'll be able to pay via:Credit CardFawryThe tutor will not receive the payment until you confirm that the session has occurred. You can decide how many sessions you want to pay for in advance.
Step 4: Sign your contract
After each tutoring session takes place (at home, in a nearby cafe or online), you will be asked to confirm the session. You can cancel or renew your package at any time.
